GreenAI North builds flexible AI data-centre infrastructure in Northern Ireland, designed to align compute demand with the availability of renewable electricity. Our innovative approach ensures that infrastructure operates at full capacity when renewable energy is plentiful, optimises performance during grid constraints, and utilises excess power that would otherwise go to waste.

Unlike traditional hyperscale data centres that require constant power, we embrace grid limitations as a foundational aspect of our design. Combining smaller modular compute locations connected through shared orchestration and operation layers.

We are committed to creating climate-resilient infrastructure that combines digital innovation with environmental responsibility. Founded by Martin Muldoon, who brings 25 years of experience in telecoms and digital infrastructure, we are actively engaging with impact investors, climate funds, and energy-sector partners to drive sustainable change.

Why it matters​

AI demand is increasing rapidly, while electricity systems are simultaneously moving toward higher renewable penetration and greater operational complexity.

Traditional data centre models were not designed around flexible energy systems.


GreenAI North is exploring a different approach - modular AI infrastructure designed to work alongside renewable generation, battery systems and future grid flexibility mechanisms.

Northern Ireland is uniquely positioned for this transition due to its renewable resources, technical talent base and growing energy innovation ecosystem.

GreenAI North is developing a clustered infrastructure model rather than a single large-scale deployment.

This model is intended to support scalable deployment while improving operational flexibility and alignment with future
